Privacy Policy

This policy describes how San Eli News handles information through this website.

Contact messages

The contact form collects the name, email address, topic and message you submit. Messages are stored privately in WordPress for authorized site administrators. They are scheduled for deletion after 30 days; deletion occurs when the scheduled task runs. Host backups can retain earlier copies under their separate retention settings. If a notification recipient is configured, a message may also be sent to that mailbox; mailbox retention is separate.

Spam protection temporarily stores a salted hash derived from the network address and a submission count for ten minutes. The raw network address is not stored in the contact inquiry. Web-server and hosting logs may separately record network addresses and request information.

Cookies and services

WordPress uses authentication cookies for authorized accounts. The public site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes network information to provide security and delivery. We use Google Analytics to understand how readers use the site, including page views and interactions. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information about your browser, device and activity on the site. Google processes this information under its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. No newsletter service or embedded social widgets are configured. Fonts and editorial photographs are served locally. External source links lead to websites with their own privacy practices.

Your information

Avoid submitting sensitive personal information. Use the contact page to ask about access to or deletion of a message and include enough information to identify it without sending additional private records. Changes to data collection or services are reflected in this policy.

Use our contact page for tips, corrections and publication inquiries.
