Corrections Policy

Send the article URL, the disputed statement and supporting evidence through our contact form. A material correction receives a dated note. Corrections update the relevant headline, text, captions and feeds while preserving the original publication date.

Request a correction

Select Correction on the contact page. Include the article URL, the exact statement in dispute, the proposed correction and evidence supporting it. A request is assessed against the underlying record; submitting a request does not by itself establish that the article is wrong.

Correction and update notes

A material factual correction carries a dated note explaining the change. The affected article and feed text are updated while the original publication time and stable identifier are retained. Minor typographical changes may be made without a separate note. A later development is labeled as an update. Copies distributed elsewhere may update on a different schedule.
