El Paso County says drinking water, charging stations, restrooms, clothing and personal hygiene items move to the Agua Dulce Community Center, 15371 Kentwood Ave. in Horizon City, beginning November 1. The supplies had been available at the temporary resource center at 15921 Horizon Blvd.

The county’s flood resources page addresses recent flooding in the Horizon area. San Elizario and other county residents seeking assistance should check that page for the latest location information and speak with Community Services staff about their household’s needs.

The county lists additional sandbag pickup sites operating from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1331 N. Fabens St. in Fabens, 14698 Van Lane in the Montana area, 191 Canutillo Ave. in Canutillo and 15311 Rocio Rd. in Agua Dulce. Its page also identifies sandbags at the temporary Horizon Boulevard resource center.

Large neighborhood dumpsters were scheduled to be placed beginning October 30 and remain for three weeks. Residents are told to place damaged furniture and other heavy items in front of their homes for county Public Works pickup. Potentially hazardous items, including small propane tanks, should be held for separate collection arrangements beginning November 2.

People whose medication was lost or damaged can ask Community Services staff for connections to assistance and contact their prescriber or insurer about replacement options. The county lists Animal Services at 915-273-3470 for pet food, kennels and temporary housing, and Public Works at 915-273-3330 for roads and large-item pickup.

Officials ask residents to photograph damage, keep cleanup receipts and complete the state damage assessment. Financial assistance is not guaranteed. These are the service details posted when checked November 1; residents should confirm availability through the county as recovery arrangements change.
